OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART AND SOUL OF FDRD

What started as a few dedicated AND motivated citizens five short years ago has grown into an impressive organization that continues to raise the bar for volunteerism and stewardship in Summit County.

Through 6 years of stewardship, the Summit County community now regards our organization as the primary forest information resource. We have built strong relationships with over 100 partners representing a diverse cross section of our community in the private, public, non-profit and individual sectors.

Reasons to Volunteer with FDRD:

- Give back to the lands that you enjoy and make a difference on National Forest lands.

- Contribute to the solutions of the challenges facing the Forest Service.

- Work with dedicated local citizens who share a common respect for the outdoors.

- Connect to community members and to local National Forest lands.

- Participate in educational experiences sponsored by FDRD.

- Demonstrate to young people a positive way to make a difference on National Forest lands.

"I often recreate on trails after FDRD projects and I am always impressed with the quality of work and increased sustainability and usability of these trails...these projects are extremely organized, safe, and productive. It is very rewarding and fun to work on an FDRD project."
  - Laura Rossetter, Trail Enthusiast and FDRD volunteer
