Grays & Torreys Trail MaintenanceIMG_3500.jpeg

When: Saturday, July 13th, 6:45am - 2pm

Where: Meet at the Dillon Ranger District (carpool to trailhead) - 680 Blue River Parkway, Silverthorne

Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) is partnering with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) and other Colorado outdoor stewardship groups throughout this summer to carry on the NFF Find Your Fourteener (FYF) campaign. We are working collaboratively to increase the pace and scale of trail improvements and ecological restoration. With help from skilled, passionate volunteers like you, we can complete even more on-the-ground work on Colorado’s beloved 14ers.

Grays and Torreys are two of the most visited fourteeners in Colorado, and we are excited to help maintain this well-used trail. Come swing some tools and meet new friends, all in the company of majestic mountain views. There's work for everyone, no matter your experience. This is a wonderful way to leave your mark on our local 14ers in a positive way!

Much of the work will revolve around drainage, retaining rock wall and check step work on this highly-trafficked trail. Due to some avalanche debris, this may require a hike up the access road to the trailhead.  An updated email will be sent out to all participants before the project date.
