Peru Creek Campsite RestorationDSCN0374-web.jpg

When: Friday, July 6th, 9:00am-12:00pm

Where: Peru Creek, Montezuma

This year the Summit County Seniors are looking for help to kick-start mother nature's regeneration of our forests and watersheds by returning these designated areas back to their natural state. Under FDRD supervision, volunteers will be rehabilitating illegal campsites, transplanting trees and installing signage. These projects aim to improve the health of our forest ecosystems, watersheds, and our forest-dependent community. And of course, no restoration project would be complete without a Trailgate Party after we finish all the work!

July's project will pick up where we left off in June -  cleaning up illegal campsites in Peru Creek, dispersing campfire rings, and planting trees.
