As an Individual, There are Many Ways to Support FDRD
Individuals, couples, families and groups of friends support their love of the forest by becoming a FDRD member and donating throughout the year and over a lifetime. Whether it be a simple act of shopping through links providing a portion of their proceeds to the organization, donating stock, or making a memorial donation, we deeply appreciate your generosity and commitment to the sustainability of our local natural assets.
Mail in Your Donation
You can mail a tax-deductible donation to Friends of the Dillon Ranger District:

Donate Part of your Colorado State Income Tax Refund
You can now anonymously donate all or part of your income tax refund to Friends of the Dillon Ranger District! Just look for the “Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit” line on your tax return and include Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, our state registration number, 20113007405, and the amount of your donation.
Make a Gift of Stock
Individuals may donate stock or mutual funds to FDRD. This type of donation can have significant tax advantages over cash. The process is simple and easy. Follow the steps on stockdonator.com.

Leave a Legacy Gift
Consider Friends of the Dillon Ranger District when making your estate plans. In 2019 FDRD established an Endowment Fund with initial capital provided by the estate of Harriett Bobo, one of our most cherished supporters. The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to help with future capital improvement needs of the organization and to maintain the financial stability of FDRD for many years to come. Planned Giving provides both you and FDRD a unique connection that can honor your wishes and also provide vital sustenance to FDRD.
There are any number of ways to make a planned gift, the simplest being bequests and beneficiary designations such as IRAs, life insurance, and annuities. The vehicle of your Planned Gift in some ways is secondary because you will need to figure out what’s best in your situation with your financial or legal adviser. We are happy to work with you and your advisor as you make plans.
Leverage Giving with Employer Matching Gifts
Does your employer offer matching gifts or a volunteer grants program? Are you a current FDRD donor? Did you volunteer with us? Many companies support their employees through matching gifts for your contributions of time and/or money and some have employee managed grant programs.
Check with your employer, or former employer if you are retired, and find out what options are in your workplace – it only takes a few minutes of your time but you could double or even triple your impact for FDRD.
Talk to your employers' Human Resources Department to get the paperwork for matching gifts or volunteer grants.

Service Projects
You and your colleagues will be able to have a direct impact on restoration efforts when you work on a service project with FDRD. Businesses are welcome to volunteer alongside others at a public project, or have your own exclusive trail project, great for team bonding and staking claim to one of the amazing trails or recreation areas that Summit County has to offer.
Offer matching gifts or a volunteer grants program
Leverage your employees’ donations or reward their time through programs to encourage their participation in the community. Does your company offer workplace giving? Matching employee giving is a great way to show your commitment to the community and your people.
