New Guidelines for Educational Hike Registration
NEW GUIDELINES FOR EDUCATIONAL HIKE REGISTRATION
The way in which the summer educational hikes will be released will be a bit different this summer. Rather than releasing all the hikes at once, each hike will be opened for registration on the FDRD website 4 weeks prior to the date of the hike. Directions for how to sign up will be listed in the description for the hike.
The sign up for Members Only Educational Hikes will differ from the hikes open to the general public. Members only hikes will require an email be sent to cam@fdrd.org on or after the release date listed in the hike on the calendar. Once the email is sent, your name will be manually entered into the roster for the hike and you will receive a confirmation email once that happens.
Before hikes are released, they say “FULL”. There is no way to have the hike be closed to registration without it saying this. Do not be discouraged, it is not yet full and the sign-up button for the hike will appear 4 weeks prior to the date of the hike. If the hike is in fact full, it will say, “THIS HIKE IS FULL, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST…” in the description.
If the hike is full (and says so in the description,) and you would like to be added to a waitlist for the hike, email cam@fdrd.org with your request. Conversely, if you are signed up for hike and cannot make it for whatever reason, please email cam@fdrd.org to let FDRD know. That way, we will be able to fill the hike with people on the waitlist.
