We Put the ‘Fun’ in Fundraising!
FDRD’s fundraising events throughout the year benefit all of our programs and projects.
Similar to donations and membership dues, the funds raised are unrestricted and vital to our organization!
Volunteering for an FDRD fundraising event is just as valuable to us as time spent volunteering on the trails. If your days of swinging a shovel are behind you, or you just aren’t that into digging dirt and carrying logs, these volunteer opportunities are much less physically demanding. Purchasing tickets and attending FDRD fundraising events is another great way to give back, especially if you do not have the time to volunteer.
Annually in early December
This annual, statewide movement celebrates and increases philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. The $1.5 Million Incentive Fund made possible by Community First Foundation, FirstBank and other community members boosts the value of every donation – the more we are able to fundraise, the more additional money we receive from the Community First Foundation. All proceeds that are donated will go directly back into FDRD to support our programming, trail work, and outdoor education. This is one of our premier fundraisers of the year and accounts for a significant portion of our budget! Click the link below to support FDRD.
Mid to Late June
Volunteers Needed: We typically require between 65 and 70 volunteers to assist us and the Keystone Neighbourhood Company in running the resort. Duties include ID checking, customer service, helping food and drink vendors, kids craft supervisors and helping the FDRD folks at their tent! Check out our events calendar to sign up. Sign-ups open in mid-march for the event.
Partner Organizations: Keystone Neighbourhood Company
If we can gather enough volunteers, the Keystone Neighbourhood Company will make a generous donation to FDRD. Each volunteer gets a free t-shirt, and either a bacon sampling wristband, a drink ticket, or Bacon Bucks to spend at the festival.

Annually in March
Volunteers Needed: 8-10 to sell beer and wine as well as manage the FDRD tent, educating visitors and locals on the outdoors of Colorado and FDRD volunteer opportunities and education programs.
Partner Organizations: Town of Frisco
Each March, the Town of Frisco puts on a beer tasting, while on skis known as the Frisco Brewski! Taking place at the Frisco Nordic Center, participants will cross-country ski from beer tent to beer tent to taste samplers from the excellent breweries around Colorado. Check out our events calendar for volunteer sign-ups.

Mid-Late September
Volunteers Needed: Approximately 10 volunteers to pour beer and wine, and manage the FDRD wildlife tent.
Partner Organizations: Town of Frisco
Every year Frisco hosts Fall Fest, a local food and art festival, on their charming & mellow Main Street. FDRD will be fundraising by selling drinks at Fall Fest and selling our own merchandise at a booth as well. Volunteers are needed for pouring and selling beer and wine, selling food tickets, and for manning the FDRD booth.
Mid-Late April
Volunteers Needed: We’ll need volunteers for everything from serving food and acting as dealers to managing our silent auction and helping with setup and tear-down. This is our biggest event of the year and has become a trademark FDRD event since its inception.
What is Casino Night? – Casino Night is a one-night-only fundraiser for Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, and it’s safe to say it has been our most successful event over the years. Guests will purchase a ticket that includes drinks, catered dinner, access to our silent auction, and a seat at any one of the incredible gaming tables. Have a blast with friends, family and community members as you try to win ‘funny money’ at poker, blackjack, craps and more! All proceeds directly benefit FDRD’s programming and trail work. Check out our events calendar to purchase tickets or contact info@fdrd.org to volunteer!
