Anyone who visits Summit County will tell you about the breathtaking the scenery, the amazing outdoor experiences, and the importance of protecting our public lands and making them accessible for everyone.
This fall, on Saturday, September 26th, FDRD and a group of like-minded local and regional organizations will be hosting the first annual Rockies Ramble, a mountain bike race fundraiser to support the vital work of FDRD and the US Forest Service. This will help them care for the delicate and extremely well-loved public lands of Summit County.
Teams of two or four will compete in a relay-style endurance race on the Frisco Peninsula, with riders completing as many laps of the 5(ish) mile course as possible. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams and the individuals with the fastest lap times.
Participating vendors will be coming from all corners of Summit County to be involved in race day, and the vibes will be high as we ride our bikes to celebrate and support our public lands on National Public Lands Day!
Racing begins at 8am and will continue until 1pm, when officials will call last lap.
Sign up your team today and come up to Summit to race for a good cause! All proceeds will directly benefit FDRD and the local, National Forest here in Summit. Spots are filling quickly, so sign up today! Click the link below to register and help care for this amazing place we call home.
