Season Kickoff at Silverthorne First Friday

Who else is ready to kick off the summer season?! Having postponed our season last year due to the pandemic, we are all more excited than ever before to invite you out to our first, in-person event of 2021! Join us for our annual Season Kickoff celebration, at Silverthorne’s First Friday, taking place at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center lawn (behind Lake Dillon Theatre,) on Friday, June 4th, 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

Enjoy live music from local band, Frisco Funk Collective on the outdoor stage, plus local food & drinks will be available for purchase.

FDRD will have a tent set up with information on our summer schedule full of trail maintenance and forest restoration volunteer projects, free guided hikes, fundraisers, and educational events. Stop by to learn all about how you can participate in our various rewarding volunteer projects this summer, or sign up for a FDRD Membership, to help fund our upcoming season of local trail maintenance and forest restoration. We will also have a selection of our retail items for sale, including t-shirts, maps, hiking guides, and of course, FREE Smokey Bear swag for the kiddos.
